WALK TO SCHOOL: Wednesday, October 10
Live too far to walk, bike, or scooter? Consider parking a block or two away and making the final stretch to your destination by one of these alternate modes! Let’s promote physical activity and best practices for walking and biking to school safely.
BOX TOPS: Do you find yourself overrun with Box Tops you have collected over the long summer? Well, do we have a solution for you! Bring your Box Tops to school during the Roosevelt Fall Box Tops Drive during the month of October! This year’s theme is “Pops for Tops!” Anyone who brings in Box Tops will receive a Blow Pop! Woo hoo! Classrooms will also be competing against one another to earn the coveted Cake POP Party 2018.
BOOK FAIR: October 29 – November 2
Book fair proceeds are used to purchase books for teacher classrooms and the Roosevelt library. This year every student can select a free book (up to $10 value)!
We need volunteers to help make this event a success! Please consider signing up to volunteer for one slot. Responsibilities will include helping set-up and tear down, cash register, helping parents and students find books and re-stocking. It’s easy and fun!
WE WANT YOUR FEEDBACK
CHESS CLUB: The fall session is starting soon. We would like parent feedback – please take this 3 questions survey? Whether your child is interested in Chess Club this season, it still would be helpful for us to get the responses!
¡Hola famillias! Here’s the brochure for your student’s Spanish class. It has information about our units, timeline, assessments, and extra support. You can use this as a reference when unit packets come home with the three modes of communication graded. Check out the Spanish newsletter to see what your kid(s) will be doing this month.
