Food Drive for Tosa Cares Food Pantry: 11/11-11/20
Beginning Monday, November 11th and running through Wednesday, November 20th Sodexo and the Wauwatosa School District Elementary Schools will be partnering for our 7th annual “End it with Orange” food drive and our 2nd ANNUAL partnering with the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train. Over the last 6 years we have donated 8765 pounds of food to the Tosa Cares Food Pantry. We would love to surpass last year’s donation of 2301 pounds! We would also like to encourage all students and staff to wear orange on Friday, November 15th.

The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train will stop in Wauwatosa on Tuesday, December 3rd.  The Wauwatosa Elementary School that collects the most items will be awarded a plaque from Tosa Cares at the event!!  Please click here for more information about this event and the awards ceremony.

Box Tops Collection
The Box Top fall challenge ended on Monday Oct. 28th and the results are in! The top three classrooms are:

1st Place $27.00 Ms. Wyman’s 3rd grade class
2nd Place $26.50 Mrs. Niemoeller’s JK PM class
3rd Place $21.60 Ms. Meulemans 4th grade class
Ms. Wyman’s class earned the PTA’s cake pop party.  Total earnings for the fall classroom challenge are estimated at $225.00.
Please continue to scan your receipts to the Box Top App (and credit the teacher/classroom) and/or save your clipped Box Tops for the Spring challenge which has a deadline of April 1st. We are well on our way toward our goal $1,000 and currently are at $400 which does not include the latest Box Top earnings for the November drive.

Young Rembrandts Art Classes, New Session starts 11/4
Boost your elementary student’s interest in drawing with a Young Rembrandts class. All new lessons are being served up this season like a cute koala dressed as a tourist and a video game still life showing off accessories. Sign up today!

Parent Listening/Collaboration Session: 11/7, 6:30-7:30 p.m. in MPR/Cafeteria
Please come and join us at the upcoming Parent Listening/Collaboration Session. Learn about Roosevelt’s building goals, action steps around Equity, and how our work ties into our District goals. This is an opportunity for you to share your thoughts as we work together as a team to make Roosevelt a strong community for all of our learners. The feedback you share will be used to find even more ways to support and celebrate our students. We look forward to hearing your voice!
