EFW Rush for Education Run/Walk is Going Virtual
In celebration of this amazing community during what has been several incredible weeks, we are excited to announce this year’s Rush For Education is going virtual and you are invited to participate. Show your support for the Class of 2020, the grant recipients from your school, other classroom heroes and the Education Foundation of Wauwatosa, as you walk, run, jog, roll or rush out to the grocery store — wherever you are, whenever you can by July 12

Here’s how it works:

  • Register for this event on our page at RunSignUp. Every participant gets a T-shirt and a roll of finish line tape.
  • Run, jog, walk, bike (or other activity of your choice) just one mile anytime between receiving your Rush for Education T-shirt and July 12. Be sure to follow all local guidelines for social distancing.
  • Wear your T-shirt, snap a photo and share it on social media using the hashtag #RushForEducation and tag @tosaefw on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.

If you haven’t done so already, please sign up to be part of our first ever Virtual Rush for Education through this link.

Food Pantry Updates
A humongous thank you to anyone who has donated money or food items to the food pantry.  A gentle reminder: the food pantry cannot accept expired, open, or perishable items. This includes bread, which is both perishable and can be opened and tampered with. Over the past few weeks we have had to throw donated items away. We LOVE the generous spirits, but it’s heartbreaking for us to throw food out. Thank you for understanding.  Non-perishable food items in high demand include: applesauce, ready-to-eat meals & snacks (soup, canned ravioli/pasta, granola bars, chips, etc.), high-protein items (canned chicken, tuna, and peanut butter), and hygiene products (toilet paper, deodorant, oral hygiene products, soap, shampoo, and conditioner).

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact us.

You may also donate online through this link.  Thank you again for any past, current, and future donations. Stay safe, be kind, and check in on one another,

Spring Fling Supporters
Here are some of our loyal local donors for Spring Fling, with a focus on those businesses that are temporarily closed or have had to modify their business model due to current circumstances.
