Letter from the Board
We want to say a huge and grateful thank you from all of us on the PTA Board.  It has been a very unique past couple years, but the one constant during those years is the willingness of the entire Roosevelt community to come together and make successful and meaningful events.  Thank you to all the teachers and staff, PTA event chairs, PTA membership, Roosevelt families, and the amazing students.  We have asked a lot of so many people, so if you have volunteered even the smallest amount of time and effort, it is very appreciated.

It is our pleasure to introduce the 2021-2022 PTA Board: Heidi Bach – President, Allison Dunleavy – Vice President, Ashley Plante – Treasurer, and Jennifer Stoebe – Secretary.  We know that they will do a wonderful job and will have amazing support and help from our Roosevelt community.  We look forward to your future success.

Thank you again,
Your PTA

Grounds and Playground Updates
Support the new Roosevelt playgrounds and green spaces at the upcoming School Board meeting! The School Board is expected to consider a recommendation at their meeting on Monday, June 14 at 7:00pm, for extensive exterior work at Roosevelt including new playgrounds, green spaces, and exterior work around the school.  We know that a number of Roosevelt families have worked very hard and for a long time to see this come to fruition. This would be a significant investment. Once complete, this investment will make the outdoor spaces more usable, accessible, and safe for kids and the community. While Roosevelt saw some great investments as a result of the referendum, this final “renovation” may be the most visually significant and literally have a year round positive impact on those in the neighborhood and kids that attend the school for the next 10+ years.

Please plan to attend (virtually or in person) and bring other Roosevelt families to come to show your support and speak on behalf of the exterior work being proposed around Roosevelt.

Thank you for the support on Monday,
Your PTA

Fundraising for Roosevelt PTA
There are two easy ways to begin fundraising for the PTA with no additional cost to you!

  1. Placing your Amazon orders through http://smile.amazon.com will automatically raise money for the Roosevelt PTA. Amazon donates 0.5% of the price of your eligible AmazonSmile purchases to the charitable organization of your choice. Just open AmazonSmile on your computer, (Sorry, the app doesn’t work!) search for “PTA Wisconsin Congress Roosevelt School,” and start shopping!
  2. You can still clip those box tops but many products no longer have clippable box tops. In these cases, start scanning your receipts! Head to https://www.boxtops4education.com/ Sign up for an account, download the app on your phone and easily scan your receipts to earn money for the PTA. You can designate a different class to receive the points each time you scan.
