Miss Molly’s Cafe – Lunch for Teachers
Roosevelt PTA is excited to partner again with Miss Molly’s Cafe to provide lunches for our teachers. Please follow the link below to purchase. When adding to cart, a drop down menu will appear to select Roosevelt Elementary. There is also a spot for you to add a note of encouragement. Thank you, this was a hit with the teachers last year and we look forward to treating them to lunch again!

Toy Drive For Children’s Wisconsin in Honor of Isla Gentry
In honor of Isla Gentry’s 5th birthday, her family is hosting their second annual toy drive for Children’s Wisconsin – MACC Fund Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders. Many in our community have been touched by their story and positively impacted by Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.

Nurses and the child life specialists bring these toys to children whenever they need a boost- before a tough procedure, when they are feeling down, when they are getting bored, or when they’ve struck a sweet deal when being asked to choke down a yucky medicine. Toys may seem trivial, but that could not be further from the truth for these kids. They can make the difference between a child sitting in front of an iPad day in and day out or getting out of bed to play each day.

Isla’s family has put together an Amazon Wishlist with toys, activities, room decorations, and snuggly things for the children in the unit to be collected throughout the month of October. They will deliver them to Children’s Wisconsin on October 25. Please make any purchases before October 20 to ensure they are delivered in time for the drop-off!

Purchases from other stores are also welcome, but all toys donated must be new in their packages. Since the toys will be used by immunocompromised children, they cannot accept used donations. For questions or to arrange drop off/pick up of toys, please contact Jenny Hack at 920-979-5366 or

Thank you in advance for your generosity!

Walk to School Day
We hope you all can join us for this years Walk to School Day, October 6th. The idea is simple, we want to get everyone out in the community by walking or biking to school. If you live far away you can participate by driving and parking a few blocks from school, then join in and walk the rest of the way. Hope to see everyone out and about!

In addition, here is a link to a great video on railroad safety. The city and the Police Department have been working hard to teach kids to be safe when walking and biking in the community.
